Entire High School Class Learns About Factory Farms!

We were honored to have the opportunity this last Monday to present our first Humane Education Program to an entire classroom full of students. After learning about the treatment of animals on factory farms one student said, "Abusing animals just settle people stomachs isn't right and there is more that can be done. So I'd like to thank you for showing and teaching us about the everyday cruel behaviors that people perform to settle greedy stomachs."

Our humane education programs are totally free and include free materials for students and teachers. We are always interested in new opportunities to present to students about animal issues - if you are interested in having us present in your or your child's classroom, please contact us today at info@baltimoreanimalrights.com or by phone at 443-717-0769 to learn more or to schedule a visit!

We Are Changing Our Name

Change is good, and in this case, hopefully great.  In order to reach as many people as possible with our compassionate message, we are officially changing our name.  From now on, BARC will be the Humane League of Baltimore.  We will not be changing the types of work that we do; we will continue to primarily focus on helping farmed animals, though we will periodically get involved in other issues.  We hope that this name reflects our professionalism and will help us save as many animals as possible.  We will be updating our website soon.  Please let us know what you think!
